Roundhouse Design Wins Awards for Bulpitt Project

Roundhouse Design, the London‑based bespoke kitchen studio, has secured back‑to‑back major awards this season for its exemplary “Bulpitt” kitchen project in Twickenham.

The firm first triumphed at the SBID International Design Awards 2025, claiming a gold‑rated top prize in the Kitchen Design category, and followed swiftly with another win at the Designerati Awards UK 2025, where the Bulpitt kitchen was named Kitchen Design of the Year (Over £40K).

Both accolades signal strong recognition of Roundhouse’s craft, innovation, and bespoke design capability.

A Dual Award Triumph

In October 2025, Roundhouse announced its victory at the SBID International Design Awards, where the Bulpitt project was singled out for its refined design and technical execution. The judges highlighted the project’s melding of aesthetic depth and practical function, noting its quiet sophistication and material integrity.

Just a month later, in early November, the designer team celebrated another major win. At the Designerati Awards UK 2025, Bulpitt took home the Kitchen Design of the Year (Over £40 K) title. Senior designer Ben Hawkswell – based in Roundhouse’s Richmond showroom – was recognised for his leadership on the project.

About the Award‑Winning Project

The Bulpitt kitchen is defined by its thoughtful blend of Asian and Scandinavian influences, a calm, layered aesthetic, and premium materials.

Fluted book‑matched oak veneer cabinetry grounds the design; leathered Taj Mahal quartzite worktops and maw‑lacquer finishes provide quiet luxury; and brass recessed edge‑pulls, along with concealed cloakroom elements and bespoke TV paneling, speak to attentive detail.

Sustainability is also at the heart of the scheme, with British‑made cabinetry and responsibly sourced timber underpinning the design logic.

Designed for a well‑travelled couple who prioritise naturally layered finishes and everyday family functionality, the kitchen is both expressive and practical. The project’s nuanced material palette and clever spatial planning show Roundhouse’s capacity to deliver high‑end bespoke kitchens that are both lived‑in and exceptional.
