Mary Engelbreit
Mary Engelbreit's whimsical drawings grace the covers of cards to calendars. Her signature illustrations are instantly recognizable and will soon help bring a book of fairy tales to life. When Mary isn't drawing for her business, she decorates for pleasure. She is a collector of houses...old houses, new houses, big and small...but all have a couple of things in common. They must have interesting architectural detail and a feeling that 'this is home.' If a house can boast those two things, Mary can fill in the rest, as she has done recently with a house discovered when she really wasn't looking. Is this THE house for Mary and her family? Maybe. Or maybe not. Listen to Podcast:

Jane Sisco
At age 50, textile designer Jane Sisco decided that life was too short to spend on things she didn't love so she quit her job, sold her house and changed her life to be able to focus on her joy, textile design. She's done just fine, thank you. Recently, she was asked to be part of a prestigious Smithsonian exhibit and her work keeps her busy, happy and engaged. Jane talks about what prodded her to make her leap of faith and what got her started on her road many years ago. Listen to Podcast:

Virginia Cole
Virginia Cole is forced to think small. Though her love for her art is expansive, her work lives in a tiny place where everything is all about size and scale. Several years ago, Virginia combined miniature quilts with collage and the unique result has led to books, patterns, classes and more. Virginia says during the creative process, her works often take on a life of their own. Listen to Podcast:

Madeline Longstreet
Photographer and artist Madeline Longstreet's work combines a type of antique photography and painting that leads people to ask...'but what IS it?" It is an original style she can call all her own, and her methods lead to different results each time. That allows her work to stay interesting and creative to both art collectors and the artist herself. Madeline started with portraits and now collaborates with son Robert on botanicals. Mother and son are looking forward to a future collection with a decidedly Asian feel.

Amy Rice
Amy Rice's art is as influenced by her country upbringing as it is by urban street scenes. Rice paints nostalgic pieces using the stencil method of graffiti artists, which is anything but quick and easy. One of Amy's stencils can take 8 hours to create and the finished product might involve 12 more hours of paint layering. She finds inspiration in things as diverse as her bicycle, her dog and 'collective endeavors that challenge hierarchy.'Listen to Podcast:
