Jingle Belles
For Los Angeles designer Mary Smilove, red and green just don’t capture the
sunny California spirit. So she dreamed up a pink and blue holiday. (top left) Vintage and contemporary ornaments. A sequined party dress makes a dazzling
tablecloth. (top right) The girls share wish lists.

(center) Is it a retro Hollywood dressing room? Surprise! It’s a
working craft studio. The presents under the tree need no gift wrap—the
largest
is a rosy French champagne box, and the others are signature

boxes (yes, everything does seem to be pink in
California!). Velvet ribbon,

(bottom) Fill a bucket with baubles and get this party
started. A figurine lamp converted into a display piece offers presents
for each
of the 12 Days of Christmas. Gift pouches tied to the
base are

stamped tags. Pink paper fringe added
to wrapping paper
creates a party effect.
